Cooking Income

Every woman feels that they can learn cooking from their mother or grandmother, but then there are specialty recipes that can be learnt at classes or through recipe books. But then, all said and done only practical learning can help one actually learn the tricks of any trade

In fact, there is always a demand for cooking classes almost in every area and for every age group. There are young teenage girls who like spending their vacations attending cooking classes in India and then cooking up something special for their parents. Even women on the verge of marriage prefer to attend specialty classes to learn various cuisines, as well as desserts such as ice creams. Setting up this kind of cookery business does not need a major infrastructure like the catering schools and colleges.

In fact, homemakers and others can begin a class in the drawing room, on the dining table. There are portable cooking stoves and gases that can be placed on the dining table. And depending on the space constraint one can have a minimum of five students per batch.

Cookery classes can be held during the morning or afternoon hours when no one is at home. Normally, one can charge anywhere between Rs. 500 to Rs. 2,000 per workshop depending on the type of food and ingredients required.

Designing and Tailoring Income

Not everyone can afford those expensive designers or there clothes. But then there are homemakers and others who venture into designing for friends and relatives, sometimes not charging anything, or then a basic fee.

Well, why not confidently move ahead and venture into a full-fledged fashion design and tailoring business in India from home. And it is a fruitful business opportunity, as long as one can source out the appropriate labor.

In fact, people, especially women who design their own clothes and are praised for all that they wear should venture into designing for others. There are many successful stories of ladies beginning with clothes for friends and those in the neighborhood and slowly and steadily expanding into exports. In this fashion business the returns are almost 100%, minimum. And with good working and proper support from the tailoring and other staff, one can earn up to 500% profits per garment.

However, one should ideally pursue at least a short-term fashion design course so as to understand certain technicalities such as fabrics and cuts and body types and fits. One can take their creative abilities in clothes designing even into the television industry, stylizing clothes for the characters of various serials and shows. Its all about venturing out with samples and oodles of confidence.
